On October 10, the presentation of the book "Memoirs of 1891–1927" by Zdzisław Grocholski took place at the "Kvadrat" Youth Center.
Zdzisław Grocholski (1881–1968) was a Polish public and political figure, a Podillia landowner, and a count. In eight preserved notebooks, he provides a detailed account of events from his life between 1891 and 1927. These memoirs cover his studies in Odesa, the acquisition of the Piatnychany estate (now part of Vinnytsia), his marriage, the events of World War I, the Ukrainian Revolution, and the struggles of both Ukraine and Poland for their independence, as well as his subsequent life in reborn Poland at the Poniatów estate.
The presentation was a sensational event, drawing both local residents and guests from other cities across Ukraine. Participants included historians, local lore experts, educators, and those interested in the history of Vinnytsia and the Grocholski family.
Attendees had the opportunity to purchase the book of memoirs and speak with Henryk Grocholski, the book's publisher, a lawyer, and a philanthropist. The event was moderated by Oleksandr Fedoryshen, Director of the Museum of Vinnytsia.
Detailed information regarding the purchase of the book will be posted on the Museum's Facebook page at this link: https://www.facebook.com/MuseumOfVinnytsia.
